Emerson launches global language versions of online PlantWeb® University educational program

AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 19, 2006) – Emerson Process Management has launched two global language versions of their highly acclaimed PlantWeb^® University online educational program (www.PlantWebUniversity.com). Free training courses are now available in Chinese and Spanish language. Both language versions offer a user-friendly interface and access to 46 courses and five white papers on the most current automation technology and business topics.

The first Chinese language version of PlantWeb University went online in January 2004, and has attracted thousands of industry professionals. The 2006 version offers an improved user interface for easier participation and a more effective learning experience.

It teaches users how to improve plant efficiency for higher output and lower costs, how to reduce costs and increase availability by streamlining maintenance strategies, and how to improve profitability using the structured metric of Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
