   Siemens Attended 2007 the 6th Forum on “Industry Automation and Standardization” with PROFIBUS

   From 14th to 15th, Nov., 2007 the 6th Forum on “Industry Automation and Standardization” was held in China Peoples Palace. This forum focuses on automation technology: safety, integration and cooperation bringing new highlights to automation technology. 

   Siemens Automation and Drives Group, Automation System took part in the forum and gave professional speech. The forum is organized by SAC/TC124 and assisted by Instrumentation Technology & Economy Institute P.R. China, Instrumentation Standardization and Metrology Magazine and Chinese Instrumentation Magazine.

   Mr. Dr. Dou Lianwang - PROFIBUS PA product manager of Automation System, Automation and Drives Group, Siemens Ltd., China - made profound speech on the topic of “High Availability network – PROFIBUS PA Redundancy Ring” during the forum. PROFIBUS is the only field bus that can be applied to all industrial field under standardization and can go through the whole process chain. PROFIBUS has won the unanimously appraise of people within the industry by its high availability, low cost and its transparent redundancy management to intelligent coupling belonging to higher system. The customers felt new and fresh on the new features brought by Siemens. From 1987 to the mid of 2007, at least 1,400 members joined in PROFIBUS International and more than 20 Million devices have been installed.  PROFIBUS has been applied into industries such as manufacturing automation, process automation and home building, transportation and electricity.
