PHOENIX, Dec. 13, 2007 – Honeywell (NYSE:HON) today announced it was selected to install MXProLine, a specialized measurement and control solution, at Hangzhou Dingsheng Industries Co. Ltd’s newest facility in Dingsheng, China. This platform will deliver product quality and efficient production, as well as reduce downtime for the aluminum manufacturing company in eastern China.

The MXProLine automation system platform, an on-line quality control solution, consists of on-line sensor and automatic closed-loop control hardware, as well as software libraries that include application packages for a variety of sheet, foil and film processes. MXProLine features fast scan speeds, high accuracy, low noise and fine resolution, delivering the product to specification and optimizing quality in the shortest possible time. MXProLine supports online quality measurements including weight, coat weight, moisture, thickness, density, composition, color and opacity. Hangzhou Dingsheng, an aluminum and aluminum alloy sheet, strip and foil manufacturer, will use the system to measure and control aluminum quality properties including thickness, width and strip temperature.

The MXProLine solution will help Hangzhou Dingsheng achieve faster sensor response for precise high-speed feedback and will provide the plant managers with accurate, real-time measurements. Based on the results of other MXProLine customers in China, Hangzhou Dingsheng is hoping to limit scrap rates and improve foil thickness by installing the system.
